Eisacktaler Sylvaner tasted in an 800-year-old monastery cellar
Augustinian canons have made wine here since 1142 and still do, on steep terraces above the Isarco. The Sylvaner is the one to order: nettle, pear, cold stone. The cloister courtyard has shade, water and a bike stand by the gatehouse.
