About this route
The Inn does the navigating; you just follow the embankment east while Innsbruck's roofs fall away and the Karwendel wall grows on your left. It is an unglamorous, deeply useful ride — the sort of path Tyroleans use to get to work and visitors use to reach three villages worth of food in an afternoon. Hall's medieval salt town centre is the natural halfway halt, Schwaz's silver-mine cake shops the reward.
