About this route
This is the stretch of the Tauernradweg that families quietly plan whole holidays around: a wide, almost entirely car-free path that loses altitude so gently you barely notice you are being paid to pedal. The Salzach runs grey-green beside you, the Hohe Tauern peaks stack up on the right, and every second village has a dairy or a farm café with a bench built for cycling shoes. Nothing here is difficult, which is exactly the point.
