About this route
South Tyrol's oldest trade corridor is now one of its best cycle paths, and it tilts helpfully downhill the whole way. You leave Brixen past the Neustift monastery, whose monks have been making Sylvaner since the twelfth century, then thread through Klausen's single medieval street and the chestnut woods where Törggelen was invented. By Bozen the air is warmer, the vines lower and the language has quietly changed twice.
